Take advantage of the golden state’s charm to have some fun and expand your horizons, allowing yourself to meet new people and don’t be afraid to take chances!

Dating coach and date planning expert Jenn B., known as the Queen of Dating, who has been making successful matches and saving relationships for years, shares her latest dating tips to meet your perfect match:

  1. Try Something New–Join a co-ed sport and take your play to the next level. You’re never too old to try something new or discover a new hobby.

  2. Power Your Workout–They say that a couple that works out together, stays together. Show that you care by preparing a protein shake or smoothie with milk for both of you to have before or after the workout, which also allows additional bonding time.

  3. Go Interactive–When deciding on a date, pick something that will require you to interact with one another to help the conversation flow naturally. Try the State Fair, batting cages, mini golf, attending an art exhibit or a local festival.

  4. Listen to LOL–While on a date, make sure to listen to what the other person is saying, connect and laugh! Listening and asking questions is key, but don’t be afraid to talk about yourself as well.

  5. Dress to Impress–Whether you’re a man or woman, make sure you pick out an outfit that makes you look and feel good. Plan for the occasion; no high heels or button-down shirts if you’re going hiking and no basketball shorts for dinner. Show your date you care!

  6. Go Brunching–Grab a few friends and head to brunch for a fun day date. Have a bit of a hangover from the night before? Drink a glass of milk and help cure your headache. Every brunch has milk on the menu - guaranteed!

  7. Enjoy the Outdoors–Invite friends and family over for a barbecue or pool party and make it a pre-requisite that they bring someone new.

  8. Give Back–Volunteer for an event or activity in your community. Giving back and meeting new people at the same time is a great way to develop a new interest and a rewarding way to spend the day!

  9. Venture Out in the City–Pick up some cool and refreshing milkshakes and wander the city to explore new shops, restaurants and art.

  10. Explore Your Interests–Try joining an activity group that you enjoy to meet like-minded people with whom the conversation will be easy and natural. Common interests help build a strong foundation to any relationship!
